We are thrilled with the success of the 1st Children's Festival of Ukrainian Art & Culture, held on Sunday, May 31st in Brooklyn, New York.
A genuine thank you to all the talented children who put on such an amazing show, their devoted parents, our sponsors and partners for their support, the parishioners of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, all the musicians, craftsmen, vendors, and all the guests who made this unique event a reality.
The spacious school auditorium comfortably fit over two hundred viewers and the stage was graced by a total of over eighty talented Ukrainian children. They showcased their talents through their art, dancing, singing, music, reciting poetry, and much more.
Guests of the Festival enjoyed the finest Ukrainian cuisine, watched Ukrainian animated films, participated in the folk wind instruments workshop, learned pottery-making techniques, and were even able to take their creations, souvenirs and food home with them!
We can't promise to have Children's Day every day (we wish we could), but one thing we can promise is that we will do it again - even bigger and even better!
